VISION: To improve the quality, accessibility and accept­ability of mental health and substance services for Latino populations.

BARRIERS: Lack of health insurance or resources to pay for services; a shortage of bilingual/bicultural professionals; and culturally insensitive care systems that fail to interact with Latinos in a respectful and responsive manner.

CHARGE: Identify a strategic mental health/substance blueprint for improving the availability, affordability and acceptability of mental health/substance services for Latino communities.
