Why is Mountain Health now part of San Ysidro Health?
For San Ysidro Health the decision to partner with Mountain Health was an easy one. It’s part of our organization’s DNA, our mission is to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve with access for all.
We believe everyone deserves accessible and high quality health care services and San Ysidro Health is committed to provide essential care and support to working families across San Diego County, including in the East County, Escondido and Santee areas.
Our organization was founded by seven mothers in search of medical services for their children and was as named in honor of San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers, day laborers, and rural communities. San Isidro spent his life as a hired hand and always shared what little he had, even his meals, with people in need. These values of compassion and care for others still ring true for our organization and our daily work in the communities we serve reflect that.
