Are you a free clinic?
We are not a free clinic.  SYHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center offering high quality, affordable healthcare.  If you have government-issued medical insurance, such as Medi-Cal, you may qualify for medical care at no cost to you.  Otherwise, you can apply for our affordable sliding scale fee discount program, or request a self-pay payment plan.  Regardless of your ability to pay, SYHC will work hard to meet your medical needs.

How can I apply for SYHC’s sliding scale fee discount program?
The sliding scale fee discount program offers affordable healthcare to our uninsured patients presently residing within certain qualifying Metro San Diego zip codes. The program is primarily based on family size and income.  To apply, you must provide proof of address, such as your most recent utility bill, and proof of income, such as your most recent paycheck stub.  For a complete list of qualifying documents and methods to receive access to significantly lower medical and dental costs, please ask a patient registration representative for further details.
