San Ysidro Health now offers Telehealth Services during the COVID-19 pandemic, also known as the SYHealthLine. A confidential, safe, and convenient way to consult your medical needs directly with a healthcare provider.
What is Telehealth?
Telehealth is the communication of health-related services and information via electronic technologies. It allows patient and healthcare provider remote contact either through a phone line or video conferencing.
What is the benefit of using Telehealth?
During the global pandemic, Telehealth is an effective solution and precautionary measure to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. It minimizes face-to-face clinic visits, allowing patients to speak with a health provider without having to leave their homes. Telehealth also saves precious time and helps keep our care team on the front lines safe for those patients that do require in-person medical care.
What are the services available through Telehealth?
The services available via Telehealth include consultations for Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Prescription Refills and other services. Not all visits are appropriate for Telehealth, please call us to determine if your healthcare needs require an in-person visit.
Is there a fee for a Telehealth visit?
There is no extra fee to access a Telehealth visit. We will work with your insurance to cover the cost of the visit.
Is Telehealth available to everyone?
Yes, Telehealth is available to current and new patients with access to a phone line.
