Starting October 12-30,  San Ysidro Health will be offering COVID-19 testing to individuals at  the following COVID-19 testing location:

If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms, we recommend you call our SYHealth Line at 619-205-6792 to speak directly to a healthcare provider to address your concerns, Monday thru Friday 8 AM – 6 PM and Saturdays 8 AM – 4 PM.

General Facts

Q: Who should get tested?
A: People with Symptoms or Known Exposure
Essential Workers (with or without symptoms)
People with chronic medical conditions (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, etc.)

Q: Can I get tested anonymously?
A: We are required by law to follow-up with you if you receive positive test results. In order to do so, your contact information will be collected by our staff.

Q: How much does testing cost?
A: The cost for testing is $66.30, but this is waived and there is no out of pocket cost for COVID testing at San Ysidro Health.

Q: Do you offer drive-up or drive-thru testing?
A: Our San Ysidro Health – South Bay site currently only provides drive-up testing.

Q: Do you offer antibody testing?
A: Currently, we offer only offer diagnostic testing.

Q: Is there a separate testing line for high-risk groups like older adults?
A: No, but we can make accommodations as needed.

Q: How long will it take to get my test results?
A: Your test is sent to an outside lab and test results are typically available within one week.

Q: How will I get my test results?
A: If you test positive for COVID-19, a provider will call you with your results and recommendations for care. Positive and negative test results will also be available in San Ysidro Health’s patient portal.

Q: If I tested positive for COVID-19 at another location (UCSD, Kaiser Permanente, etc.), can I also get tested at San Ysidro Health?
A: If you have already tested positive for COVID-19, we ask that you do not get tested again at San Ysidro Health. Please seek any follow-up testing at your original testing location.

Q: I think I have been exposed to COVID-19, and I want to get tested. How long should I wait in order to get reliable test results?
A: According to the CDC, symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure, but we recommend calling your primary care provider for instructions on what to do next.

Q: What should I do if I get negative test results but am still experiencing symptoms?
A: CDC guidelines recommend that you continue to stay home, take care of yourself and monitor your symptoms. If your symptoms worsen, please call your provider to discuss or call 9-1-1 if conditions are severe.
