Cardiology services are provided to patients needing cardiology consultations and management for chronic diseases related to the heart. Our cardiologist treats patients with various illnesses on a referrals-only basis at San Ysidro Health’s main clinic.
San Ysidro Health’s medical providers may refer patients needing diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the human foot. Our podiatrist is available to patients needing these services, as determined by their primary care provider.
San Ysidro Health provides comprehensive vision screenings, treatment, and prescriptions for eye glasses via referral from a primary care provider. Vision services are offered at San Ysidro Health for all patients, including patients at risk for various illnesses afflicting the eye. Our Optometry Suite uses state-of-the-art technology and equipment to detect and diagnose vision problems.
HIV / AIDS
San Ysidro Health offers HIV Primary Care Services for patients living with HIV / AIDS at two of our clinic locations, San Ysidro Health and King-Chavez Health Center. San Ysidro Health’s HIV team provides comprehensive medical services, which may include treatment and management of HIV / AIDS, as well as referrals to SYHC dental and pharmacy services. At San Ysidro Health’s main clinic, HIV services are provided Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m, in partnership with UCSD’s specialized HIV doctors who provide medical services especially tailored for our HIV patients. San Ysidro Health’s King-Chavez Health Center’s HIV specialists provide services Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Comprehensive primary care services which are specifically tailored for older adults are provided at San Ysidro Health. Our knowledgeable staff and providers take special attention and care to manage chronic illnesses which are specific to our older patient population.
San Ysidro Health collaborates with The UCSD Shiley-Marcos Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center to provide services dedicated to understanding the causes, treatment, and prevention of Alzheimer’s Disease, as well as related memory disorders. The Memory Clinic, located at San Ysidro Health’s main clinic, offers brief assessments regarding their patients’ memory concerns, annual neurological & physical exams, in addition to a thorough memory evaluation.
Our physicians provide referrals to our highly-skilled Pediatric Allergy Specialist to diagnose, treat, and manage the care of children with allergies. Our Pedicatric Allergy Specialist is located at Maternal Child Health Center and provides allergy testing and asthma peak flow analysis.
Perinatology, also known as maternal-fetal medicine, offers pre-natal consultation and treatment by a perinatologist for women with complicated, high-risk pregnancies, which may sometimes include ultrasonography services. We provide comprehensive ultrasounds via appointments and through referrals made by our OB/GYN provider(s) who are managing the patient’s prenatal care. This service, completed at Maternal Child Health Center, can be coordinated through a referral from a primary care provider.

Acupuncture dates back more than 2,000 years and is becoming increasingly used in modern times to help with many health issues. Acupuncture Service is available at San Ysidro Health locations – Chula Vista, Alpine Family Medicine, Community Heights Family Medicine, Mountain Health Family Medicine, and Santee Family Medicine.
